I had the pleasure of meeting Susan and Top through a business network when they first moved to Tauranga and it wasn’t long before we hit it off and they were planning their wedding day flowers with me.
It helped that Susan and Top knew how they wanted their day to look and the brief was clear: Boho beach-style using soft pinks, eucalyptus and toi toi. And their reception also focused on the all-important details, right down to the bunny tails on the tables.
Susan and Top had their ceremony on the sand at Waihi Beach in front of a beautiful heptagon archway hand-crafted by Susan’s father. Not only did he make the arch, he also had to get it to the beach and secure it while it was high tide! Thankfully, I had time to wait until the tide went out before creating the Boho beach-styled florals to frame the couple for their vows. Here, I tied in some beautiful dark burgundy copper beech to really make the floral displays pop.
Their day has been beautifully captured by Erica Jane Photography. Susan’s dress is designed by the brilliant Nicky at White Silk Bridal Couture. Hair and makeup were done by two of Susan’s friends.
